White or milky powder,and colorless or slight yellow transparent liquid.The clarity of the aqueous product depends on the proportion of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylacetate.The aqueous solution of VA37 is cloudy,and the others are clear at room temperature.The solution is slight acidic but not electrolytic.

Cosmetics:PVP/VA series products play a good role in firm-forming and hair-fixing agent.Its hygroscopicity decreases with increase in the proportion of vinyl acetate in the molecular.This property is widely used as hair sprays and hair-set lotion.If being used with PVP K30,the effect would be enhanced
